About the conference SOCIALIA
The Institute of Social Studies of the Faculty of Education, University of Hradec Králové is organizing the XXVIIth International Scientific Conference SOCIALIA. From the beginning, the predecessors of the current Institute of Social Studies (the former Department of Social Pedagogy and the Department of Social Pathology and Sociology) have significantly contributed to the organization of this conference. It is currently organized in cooperation with the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and the Academy of WSB in Dabrowa Górnicza. The first conference was held in 1997 at our Faculty of Education.
This year's conference is focused on the social and pedagogical analysis of the contemporary family. It is also dedicated to the significant jubille of Professor Blahoslav Kraus. In addition to the classic conference sessions, participants will be offered a plenary discussion, meetings with experts from practice, and a varied accompanying programme.
